**Contracts Manager**

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the London Fire Brigade to join the property department to act as the Contracts Manager for key FM suppliers and ensure the contract requirements are met and the fire stations are adequately maintained to support operationalresponse.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday, is based near London Bridge and offers hybrid working, with 3-4 days’ work from home.

**THE ROLE**:
Reporting to the Lead Contract Manager, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the FM service contracts and ensure that appropriate monitoring regimes are in place to monitor performance of all elements. This role will ensure allrelated service level agreements are met and that all targets, policy, standards, statutory legislation, and good practice are followed across the estate portfolio. A key part of the role will include budget management and experience of public sector procurementregulations would be beneficial.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To act as the lead officer for nominated FM service contracts and be responsible for the day-to-day management ensuring they meet the Brigade’s requirements and comply with relevant policies and procedures. Ensure that appropriate monitoring regimes arein place to monitor performance of all elements of the FM service contracts and report this as required to line management.
- To monitor planned services delivered as part of the FM services contracts and ensure they are delivered to the required frequency and standards with evidence received as required. Ensure the strategy for the planned services is appropriate, protects theBrigade’s interests and ensures the estate is maintained in an acceptable condition.
- To monitor reactive works raised against the contracts and interact with the team as required to ensure work orders are correctly prioritised and resolved within the contractual timescales.Provide guidance to ensure prompt resolution and act as a liaisonpoint between the premises and the suppliers as required.
- Establish and manage procedures for the monitoring of the SLAs and KPIs in the FM contracts, ensuring that the contractor meets the required standards, is compliant with specifications and method statements for the contract and is held accountable for performanceissues.Escalate all issues as required and take appropriate steps as directed to arrange rectification, where required levels are not reached. Ensure all performance issues are managed in accordance with the contract.
- Monitor expenditure monthly against the budget codes and ensure there are accurate records and controls in place. Provide monthly financial reviews to line management and ensure expenditure follows the monthly budget profiles. Report any variables greaterthan 3% to line management and account for any underspends or overspends with reasons for the variances.
