**Business & Resource Scheduling Coordinator**

**Rate**:£15-20 per hour
**Hours**:9am - 5pm
Our Support team is an essential part of Newsgathering Operations providing logístical support and base maintenance to our Deployments staff working both in the UK and around the world.
**Main Responsibilities**:

- We are recruiting a Business & Resource Scheduling Co-ordinator to join our Support team.
- A major part of this role is managing the servicing and maintenance of our fleet of over 50 operational vehicles, together with creation of purchase orders for colleagues.Administration of staff leave and rotas for a team of approx. 10 staff forms a minorpart of this role.You may also provide support to our team with some administration of our broadcast maintenance processes.
- You should have experience of supporting a busy operational team - ideally with some experience of Newsgathering activities.You should be able to demonstrate sound logístical planning and good organisational skills.
**Essential skills**:

- Knowledge of relevant transport legislation covering vehicles and drivers;
- Understanding of vehicle and fleet maintenance issues;
- Strong well-developed administration skills;
- Able to maintain an effective filing system;
- Good knowledge of use of Excel;
- Good planning and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail;
- Able to take a collaborative and supportive approach in a team;
- Well-developed communications skills with the ability to negotiate with external suppliers;
- Ability to work with staff at all levels both inside and outside of our client;
- Willing to work on own initiative - prioritising and working to tight deadlines where necessary;
- Able to employ novel thinking to solve problems.
**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of the use of SmartSheet;
- Experience of use of SAP & Quick Order to create Purchase Orders;
- Knowledge of staff scheduling principles including Working Time Regulations and Conditions of Service;
- Current UK driving licence;
- An appreciation of the newsgathering process and supporting the changing news agenda.
