**About The Role**:
**About this opportunity**
The Sales Ledger Clerk will report directly to the UK Credit Control and Sales Ledger Manager. The Sales Ledger Clerk will be a key member of staff within the Finance team.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a solid background in Sales Ledger and have strong communication skills. The role will suit someone with a professional services background, who is commercially astute and confident in liaising with people of all levels.
The successful applicant will have had experience gained within a medium-to-large multi-entity environment and will be able to give examples of improving the operational performance of the Sales Ledger function.
This role will require a highly credible individual with the ability to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders across the firm and potentially with external clients.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Processing of Sales Invoices/Credit Notes, including ensuring the appropriateness of the authorisation and coding
- Dealing with invoices in an effective and timely manner
- Daily matching of receipts and credit notes with unpaid invoices
- Housekeeping and audit of processes with regards to client data for invoicing
- Ensuring that company policies and procedures for the department are maintained at all times
- Liaising with colleagues across the business to ensure prompt resolution of any queries/disputes
- Other general office duties as required

**Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills**
- Have 2+ years’ experience working within sales ledger
- Have the flexibility to work in both a team environment and individually
- Have experience of working to reporting timetables
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
- IT Literate, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
