**A quick look at the role**

Biffa has been successful in being awarded a contract by Circularity Scotland Limited for the delivery of a service to manage DRS collections, counting and processing of single-use drinks containers to commence in 2023. Biffa is building a dedicated programme team to ensure the design and delivery of the new solution in line with the clients expectations and Biffa’s commercial objectives. The **Network Transport Planner **Will Efficiently plan all aspects of the transport operation, working with the regional operational managers and location teams to achieve the most efficient options whilst maintaining service, increase route density and ensuring effective optimisation whilst considering regulatory and legislative implications.

**Requirements**:
**Here’s what we require**:

- Experience with route planning software such as Route Monkey, DPS (LogiX) etc
- Experience as a Logistics/Planning Manager in a large matrix organisation
- Proven track record of working to clearly defined service delivery KPI’s
- Demonstrable experience of successful resource management / cost control
- Transport legislation
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical service environment
- Knowledge of existing and impending environmental and health and safety legislation environment
- Local geographical knowledge
- Strong Commercial background
- Excellent management and organisational skills
- Good networking and people management skills
- Willingness to travel within the UK for business meetings and project work at other locations
- Articulate, confident and assertive
- Analytical and able to quickly assess issues and recommend and/or implement solutions
- Robust and resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively
- The ability to communicate with conviction, plan with precision and, most importantly, play well with others.
