**About the Role**:
Creffield Medical Group is recruiting a personal assistant for our clinical teams, based at our West Bergholt site. The role is offered on a part time basis, of 25 hours a week, worked as follows:
Monday 9.00am - 3.00pm

Tuesday 9.00am - 6.30pm

Friday 9.00am - 6.30pm

The role has been established to support the clinical teams in carrying out day-to-day administrative and clinical activity; it is at the forefront of service delivery to patients, with the post-holder providing a source of advice and problem solving for patients. The postholder will work closely with, and under the direction of, the clinical team to improve standards across a wide range of clinical and administrative activity. The position is suitable for someone who wishes to demonstrate initiative and to develop their own skills further in the practice.

**Main responsibilities of the role**:

- To provide support to the clinical teams, and in the running of key systems and procedures such as enquiries, prescriptions, fit notes, medical reports, chasing hospital results and letters, form filling and general organisation duties as required to support the clinical team.
- To be responsible for the management of the clinical team's diary and rota, keeping the practice manager up-to-date on any changes to the usual schedules.
- To manage annual leave requests, organise meetings and attendance as required.
- To be aware of the various statutory requirements and to assist in implementations as directed by the clinical team.
- To work closely with reception and clinical staff, to ensure the smooth running of the practice, reporting any problems encountered to the relevant person.
- Training requirements will be monitored by yearly appraisal. Personal development will be encouraged and supported by the practice. It is the individuals’ responsibility to remain up to date with recent developments.

- Experienced medical administrators, with excellent IT and typing skills;
- Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills;
- Excellent communicators able to work in a confidential and discreet manner;
- Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment;
- Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure;
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.

**About Us**:
Creffield Medical Group is a large, multi-site practice, with a town practice in Colchester and 2 village sites in Nayland and West Bergholt, with approximately 30,000 patient list size. We are a training practice and a teaching practice for GP registrars and pharmacists.

Colchester is a historic, vibrant town, with quick road and rail links to London Liverpool Street. It houses one of Europe’s finest zoos, a Norman Castle, beautifully maintained parks, an active theatre scene and a new modern art gallery. Local grammar schools are amongst the best in the country. Beautiful countryside including ‘Constable country’ in nearby Dedham. Mersea Island, Wivenhoe and Brightlingsea offer excellent oysters, beaches and sailing, within a short drive.
