Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a senior clinician to join our Crisis and Home Therapeutic Team. If you have the background, experience, and innovation in developing and delivering high-quality crisis assessments and interventions for young people and families, then this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team to deliver a 24/7 crisis service, including community and hospital-based assessments, therapeutic intervention packages, telephone crisis line, parent/carer support, psycho-education, and prevention.
  • Be accountable for professional actions and work within professional ethics and NELFT NHS Trust policies.
About the Role

This post would suit someone with a strong interest in working with young people who present with complexity and significant levels of distress in crisis, working with the wider systems including acute hospitals, education, social care, and family/carers.

Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications
  1. Successful completion of a postgraduate training in psychological practice (e.g., clinical psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist) fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, UKCP, ACP) or a graduate qualified healthcare professional (e.g., mental health nurse, social worker, occupational therapist), fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g., NMC, Social Work England) plus an additional postgraduate qualification equivalent to an MSc or MA in either psychological therapies or advanced Clinical Practitioner or other postgraduate qualification relevant to CAMHS and mental health.
Experience
  1. Extensive experience of working with difficult, disturbed, or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
  2. Extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with co-morbid difficulties and special needs (i.e., combination of organic and emotional deficits, such as autistic spectrum disorders and trauma).
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between £60,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
