**About Us**:
**Role Overview**:
The Brent Young People’s Pathway team provides support to 54 clients (aged 18-21) across accommodation sites, with complex needs, including mental health, substance use, at risk of exploitation, gang involvement, family mediation and needing to access employment, training and education.
Joining the team as **Senior Young People Support Worker**, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and safe management of the service on a day to day basis; including the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers, visitors and staff in the service.
You will also provide leadership to the team and ensure that the service supports clients to sustain their licensing agreement, develop skills and resilience, and participate in positive and successful move on.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times including ensuring that Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures are followed as laid out in Depaul’s Policy and Procedures
- Manage a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will ensure that there is a whole team approach to the support of all clients in the service
- Deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.
- Proactively lead on partnerships with local agencies including statutory teams, to support the well being of Depaul clients in accordance with data protection and information sharing protocols.
**What We Are Looking For - Person Specification**:
- Experiencing of supervising the work of others
- An understanding and commitment to working in an assets based way
- Experience of working with people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or have a history of living in care.
- Experience of using Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Experience of operating safeguarding requirements and procedures
- Commitment to working in a manner, which promotes diversity and equality ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity and no one, suffers from discrimination.
