Young Carers Youth Group Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Young Carers Youth Group Worker. As a key member of our youth support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to young carers in Ealing and Hounslow.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people who care for family members. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality youth group sessions, building strong relationships with participants, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and informative youth group sessions that cater to the needs and interests of young carers.
- BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES, PROVIDING EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE WHEN NEEDED.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of participant progress, attendance, and any concerns or incidents that may arise.
- Work collaboratively with the Young Carers Project Manager and other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in areas such as safeguarding, first aid, and child protection.
- Maintain a flexible approach to work, including evening and weekend shifts, to accommodate the needs of our service users.
- Experience of working with young people, preferably in a paid or voluntary capacity.
- Ability to build strong relationships with young people and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Safeguarding and first aid qualification or willingness to complete.
- Availability to work evenings, school holidays, and occasional weekends.
We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £13.50 to £15.91 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, making a real difference in the lives of young carers.
