Domiciliary Care Administrator

**Role Overview**:
As a Domiciliary Care Administrator at Appleby Home Care, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our care services. This position involves a combination of remote work, office-based responsibilities, and occasional visits to service users.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the smooth operation of the service.
- Maintain and update all documentation related to service users, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in the bidding process for care packages, actively seeking opportunities, and effectively winning packages from Cornwall Council.
- Create and manage rotas, routes, and rounds for carers, optimising schedules to meet the needs of service users while ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Act as the primary liaison between Appleby Home Care and Cornwall Council, addressing inquiries, providing necessary information, and fostering positive relationships.
- Serve as the initial contact point for staff members, addressing queries, providing guidance, and ensuring effective communication within the team.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to maintain a high standard of care delivery.
- Occasionally visit service users to assess needs, gather feedback, and ensure the delivery of quality care in accordance with established standards.
- Facilitate clear and concise communication between internal teams, service users, and external stakeholders.
- Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Proven experience in a similar administrative role within the healthcare or domiciliary care sector
