Business Support Coordinator

One of R&M branches located in Aberdeen is looking to employ a Business Support Coordinator to join their busy team.
The R&M Electrical Group are one of the largest independent electrical distributors in the UK. Besides a number of specialist divisions and branches in the UK, R&M have overseas branches in the USA, Asia, the Caspian Sea, Kazakhstan, Iraq and the Middle East. In addition to our electrical supplier capabilities we have specialist divisions encompassing a range of products and services including: assembly, cable, fixings & supports, hazardous area, lighting, marine and dedicated exports and projects divisions.
**Position**:
Business Support Coordinators main responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
- Identifying documentation requirements
- Submitting documentation to the relevant clients within prescribed timescales
- Providing general administrative support
- Liaising with manufacturers, suppliers and client project staff to ensure all material meets technical and quality requirements and delivery timescales.
- Undertaking material inspections with client appointed representatives.
- Managing Project logistics role and ensuring all goods are correctly export packed and prepared.
- Preparing and submitting all export related documentation to ship goods from global manufacturing sites to nominated destinations.
- Providing support on other functions as required by the management team.
- Using R&M company IT system and any partner systems associated with Projects.
- Preparing and submitting reports as needed or requested by client and for Joint Venture partners.
- Creation and maintenance of client / project expediting schedules.
- To chase the purchase orders raised to ensure that the orders are delivered in time to meet the customers required date. If there is an issue then advise the customer as soon as aware of the issue.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of, and complying with all relevant R&M systems, Health & Safety, Environment, Quality and Personnel policies
**Requirements**:
- Excellent communications skills, in both verbal and written forms
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team, but also with own initiative
- Ability to function under pressure and with an understanding of priorities relating to customer service
**Other information**:
**Hours**: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Fridays 8am - 4pm (with one hour for lunch).
