We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to join our busy and dynamic Income & Assessment Team as an Assessment Officer.

You will be responsible for the completion of financial assessments in relation to adult social care services and, for the coordination, validation and subsequent payment to social care providers.

You should therefore have experience or knowledge of adult social care finance functions and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Care Act 2014.

Liaising directly with service users, their advocates and social care providers requires a high degree of sensitivity and at times tact. Excellent communication skills both orally and written are therefore essential.

The work is fast paced, high volume and varied. If you are flexible, adaptable, can work under pressure and hold all the necessary skills, experience and knowledge and are prepared to go the extra mile, then this is an excellent opportunity for you to work within a dynamic and developing service environment.

We will provide you with a supportive working environment with the opportunity to learn and develop within the role. The Council operates a flexible working arrangement which provides the opportunity to work from home once fully trained.
