Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, your main duties will include:
- Ensuring the safe execution and successful delivery of various industrial automation projects, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Managing project planning, risk assessment, and resource distribution while ensuring alignment with contract goals and client satisfaction.
- Serving as the primary liaison for clients, end-users, suppliers, and internal teams, coordinating efforts to achieve project objectives.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project plans, adapting them as necessary to respond to evolving requirements and circumstances.
- Facilitating effective communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates to senior management and clients regarding project status.
- Monitoring project performance, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate delays and budget overruns.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to support promotional initiatives and ensure project outcomes align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of industry standards, including NEC 4 (preferably Options A, C, and E), PMBOK, PRINCE2, and CDM15.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant engineering degree or demonstrable experience in managing automation projects.
- Proven track record in project management within the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharma, or Green Energy sectors.
- Strong familiarity with NEC 4 contracts, particularly Options A, C, and E.
- Knowledge of PMBOK or PRINCE2 methodologies and CDM15 regulations, especially in roles involving Principal Contractor and Principal Designer responsibilities.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and FastDraft, along with Microsoft Office applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Advanced Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications would be advantageous.
The successful Project Manager will be:
- Highly organized with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- An effective communicator capable of building strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Able to perform under pressure and make decisive choices to ensure project success.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality and compliance.
The Project Manager position offers:
- Salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 (based on experience)
- Car allowance of approximately £7,584
- Pension contributions ranging from 8% to 12.5%
- Company-funded healthcare following probation
- 25 days of holiday, increasing with length of service
