We are currently looking for a part-time Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our team in Melksham to assist a young woman who was injured following a road traffic accident in 2020, working 10 hours per week on a flexible basis to cover a 24/7 rota.

**The Role**
As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will provide support and care to the client, a young woman with a severe brain injury and a complete loss of vision in her left eye and reduced vision in her right eye.
You will spend quality time with the client, helping to maintain her home environment and providing reassurance and support with daily routines.
Providing practical support and ensuring her safety, you will support her with everyday activities in the community such as shopping and attending appointments.
Working alongside the treating team, you will also provide additional support with rehabilitation and maximise the opportunity to regain as much independence and recovery from her injuries as possible.
**About You**
To be considered as a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will need:

- Experience of caring or providing care
- A good understanding of the personal and physical needs of a client with physical and
cognitive difficulties
- A full, valid driving licence
An NVQ (or equivalent) in care and recent training in manual handling, first aid, health & safety would be equally advantageous.
This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS. You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
