Health Care Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Assistant to work within the East Lancashire District Nursing Team.
Ability to work contracted hours rotationally across day and night shifts, as reasonably required by the needs of the service. This a 7-day service, including weekends and Bank Holidays
Please note that the base, hours and work pattern of this post will be discussed with the successful applicant, and appropriate arrangements made.

The Health Care Assistant will work as a member of the District Nurse Service and assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of health care to patients within a variety of settings. The post holder will be expected to be involved with phlebotomy.
Main duties
- Continue to develop and undertake a range of delegated tasks and will report to a registered practitioner.
Provide assistance within unscheduled care services and contribute to the delivery and evaluation of care and interventions.
interventions Carry out allcompetently and to a high standard as delegated by the registered practitioners in line with own scope of practice.
Take responsibility for maintaining and developing own clinical competence within the workplace.
Car driver with access to a vehicle is essential
