**The Team**:
The Apprentice and Qualification Team Leader role is within People Services, who deliver the Learning and Development and Human Resource functions to the Council.

The responsibilities of the Apprenticeship and Qualification Team are to manage the apprenticeship levy in its entirety, from workforce planning, procurement of Training Providers, contract account management of Providers, financial management of the levy, progression of apprentices, achievements and return on investment.

**The Role**:
The role involves line managing a team of Learning and Development and Funding and Data Officers and therefore you must have good people management and leadership skills. The ability to work under pressure and prioritise the work of yourself and your team to achieve deadlines is essential.

In-depth technical knowledge and experience of the apprenticeship levy reforms and funding rules is essential to drive, inform and improve the apprenticeship offer across the Council's Services and Schools. Working alongside the Apprentice, Qualification and Growth Manager, you will support and inform workforce planning discussions with key stakeholders to deliver a range of workforce solutions to address the current and future skills needs of the organisation.

Expert knowledge of MS Excel (including complex formulas) is essential to be able to support the financial planning, monitoring and reporting of funding. The ability to understand financial risk factors that influence and inform the funding requirements of apprenticeships is essential.

We are operating a combination of home and office working; therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home along with reliable broadband connection.
