Elysian is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Therapeutic Support and Outreach Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work as a senior member of our therapeutic support team at Elysian sites while also focusing on coordinating and developing our outreach provision. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our outreach services effectively reach and support isolated young people, fostering their well-being and helping them overcome barriers to accessing support.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide therapeutic support to children and families at Elysian sites, working closely with the wider team to deliver high-quality services.
- Coordinate and lead outreach initiatives, ensuring they align with the organisation's mission and values.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to reach isolated young people, including assessing their needs and designing tailored interventions.
- Collaborate with external partners, including schools, social services, and community organisations, to maximise the impact of outreach efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs, collecting data and feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- Provide supervision and support to outreach staff, promoting professional development and best practices in therapeutic support.
**Requirements**:
- Significant experience in therapeutic support services, particularly working with children, families, and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by isolated young people and the ability to develop and implement effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage projects and teams effectively.
- Qualifications in a relevant field such as social work, counselling, psychology, or a related discipline (desired but not essential).
- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality in all aspects of work.

**Job Description: Senior Therapeutic Support and Outreach Worker**
Location: Elysian sites and outreach locations
**Overview**:
The Senior Therapeutic Support and Outreach Worker will play a key role in providing therapeutic support to children and families at Elysian sites while also coordinating and developing outreach initiatives to reach isolated young people in the community. They will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective and impactful services that promote the well-being and resilience of young people facing social isolation and other challenges.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Provide support to learners/children and young people at Elysian sites, including conducting assessments, developing interventions, and delivering therapeutic interventions and activities, while supporting more junior staff to develop their skills and abilities to undertake this work.
2. Coordinate and lead outreach initiatives, including developing outreach strategies, planning and implementing outreach activities according to the organisational strategies and project planning. This includes working really closely with families and a range of agencies to meet the goals of the outreach project for each child or young person.
3. Conduct outreach sessions with isolated young people, providing therapeutic support, guidance, and advocacy to address their needs and empower them to access services and support.
4. Collaborate with external partners, including schools, social services, and community organisations, to identify and reach isolated young people and coordinate wraparound support services.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions on site and outreach programs, collecting data and feedback to assess impact, identify areas for improvement, and inform program development.
6. Provide supervision and support to site and outreach staff, including conducting regular supervision meetings, providing guidance and feedback, and promoting professional development.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
8. Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in therapeutic support and outreach services, participating in training and professional development activities as needed.
