**IT Applications Support and Development Manager - £65k per annum**
Remote position
You will work with the Head of IT and Senior Leadership to develop and deliver the IT strategy for this public sector organisation. You will ensure IT is aligned with the business and manage the delivery and development of IT solutions which help the businessbecome more effective and efficient.
You will provide advice, knowledge and guidance to the business for the replacement of line of business systems. You will influence stakeholders and decision makers to ensure the IT systems are fit for purpose.
You will oversee the management of outsourced suppliers to ensure the best level of service is provided. You will ensure the proper monitoring and measurement is in place to ensure systems are fit for purpose and fit for use. You will advise and recommend aschedule of continuous improvement to meet future needs of the business. **Duties & Responsibilities**
- Provide senior technical advice for the Office 365 project, including supporting migration of data to Microsoft OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint Online, creating new site collections, building workflows, and managing term set libraries.
- Ensure the IT Applications Team oversees the smooth running of our Microsoft SQL Servers and databases including transact-SQL stored procedures, SQL reports, backups, restores and all maintenance tasks
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies which may benefit the organisation, running proof of concept (PoC) exercises to determine their viability
- Produce an organisational Enterprise Architecture
- Manage two direct report IT Application Support Analysts, supporting, coaching, and developing them.
- Manage and design SharePoint workflows to improve efficiency and consistency of business processes
- Be responsible for the creation of all SSL digital certificates for our internet services.
- Working with the Head of IT, undertake regular meetings with senior leadership to create an IT Strategy
- Work with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure the service desk and infrastructure teams have the information they need to support new products and initiatives
- Participate in and contribute to regular IT Change Management and Problem management meetings
- Work with IT Project Manager and IT Business Analyst to deliver a scheduled programme of work, and lead where appropriate
- Lead on software migrations and troubleshooting

**Experience Required**
- Five years’ experience supporting and developing against Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or above, including creation and maintaining complex SQL queries, developing Transact SQL procedures, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Integration Services (SSIS), tuningand optimisation (OLAP)
- Previous development experience in Object Oriented languages, such as C#, and including web development languages such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP
- Proven experience in the software development lifecycle and release and configuration management
- Able to develop robust testing strategies during the software development lifecycle process to ensure a high level of quality assurance is achieved
- Previous experience of providing effective 2nd and 3rd line IT support within a similar sized organisation and technical knowledge and experience of supporting; Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or above, MicrosoftSharePoint Online, recent versions MS Edge Chromium, Chromium, Mozilla, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, iPads and iPhones
- Project support experience with; Office 365, Financial Applications.
- Two years’ experience developing and maintaining Microsoft Power Apps
- Proven ability to perform most technical tasks required of them without the need for supervision or instruction, with demonstrable analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.
- A team player who understands the need to share information and support team members and communicate effectively across the team and with customers, including preparing and delivering end-user training sessions appropriate to the audience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to interact effectively with and support non-technical business users.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise between conflicting tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- A strong track record of taking every opportunity to improve skills and use comprehensive notes and documentation to share with others.

**Desirable**
- TOGAF Enterprise Architect Practitioner
- ITIL Service Management Foundation Certificate
- ITIL Management Expert Certificate
- Prince2, AgilePM, or similar project management qualification
- Previous experience of Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, Salesforce APEX programming, Office 365, including rollouts and supporting Office 365.
