**Temporary Digital Forensic Group Coordinator (Admin & Clerical)**

**A DGF Coordinator is needed to effectively co-ordinate all Digital Forensic Group submissions. Liaising with individuals as required and ensuring the continuity and safe storage of evidential material together with the recording of all requests.** Key responsibilities:

- Provide a range of day-to-day administrative support to this specialist unit, ensuring the smooth running of the department.
- Conduct initial assessment of incoming exhibits to ensure appropriate prioritisation.
- Establish and effectively maintain processes, procedures and filing systems in order that a thorough, accurate and consistent audit trial of the evidential material is maintained.
- Ensure that such actions conform to the legal requirements of seizure and retention of property.
- Be the first point of contact for providing advice to individuals with digital forensic group enquiries, by telephone or in person.
- Be able to resolve specialist enquiries, therefore ensuring additional pressure to be taken off other DFG staff.
- Accompany and oversee defence teams attending to view seized material.
- Attend major search scenes in the capacity of document and exhibit controller.
- Input approved jobs onto the relevant unit database and to accept deliveries of seized exhibits into the unit.
- Provide accurate statistical information taken off various crime recording systems, as required.
- Support colleagues with administrative tasks as required.
- Monitor and control stationary and other consumable levels, as required.
- Give evidence in court in relation to any aspect of involvement in investigations.

- Educated to Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
- Knowledge and experience to provide resilience with other Digital Forensic Group Co-Coordinators as required.
- In depth knowledge and experience of various Forensic computer packages to give support to the Digital Forensic Group.
- Minimum of 2 years in a busy computer-based office environment.
- Have worked with an IT based Document management system.
- Detailed knowledge of record keeping systems and indices.

Desirable requirements:

- Knowledge of the police organisation and procedures.
- Knowledge of the current rules of disclosure.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
