**INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY TECHNICAL LEAD**

Contract Type: Permanent

Reporting To: Operations Director

**Salary**: £35,000.00 - £40,000.00 P/A

Hours: 40 Hours

To drive the vision of the IFG MFC Academy through an excellent standard of coaching, strategic planning, operational management and good leadership of people.

To successfully build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally across the academy footballing landscape.

To understand and appreciate how and where the academy operations sit within the overall IFG business strategy and vision.

To have a clear passion for the player development of young student-athletes, creating a positive environment pathway into the MFC First team or other professional clubs.

To manage Academy coaches so they know what is required of them and can achieve their goals through regular performance management, team meetings and regular 1:1 meetings.

To deliver services to players and their families including welfare standards and development of a strategy to help players who leave the club.

Undertake and lead relevant continual professional development (CPD) for self and other Academy staff.

Attend all meetings relating to the Academy including Club, FA, and other as required, e.g. the education providers.

Ensure clear lines of communication with Club Officials, partner facilities, players and parents.

Ensure the Club’s Code of Conduct is in place and adhered to, across Academy staff, players and parents.

To oversee the Academy individual development plans and to ensure that players are supported to their fullest potential.

To maintain the safeguarding and welfare of Academy coaches and players and report any issues directly to a Club Official.

Maintain a professional image when dealing with both internal and external contacts and partners, acting in a professional manner at all times.

To liaise weekly with key university staff, including course leaders to monitor attendance and academic progress.

To oversee and facilitate ‘spot-checks’ on academic lectures to enforce student attendance.

Where necessary, organise monthly academic ‘top-up’ sessions for those students needing additional support.

To liaise closely with UCLan Student Travel staff to ensure transportation requirements for training and match-day purposes.

To liaise closely with UCLan Sports Arena staff to ensure facility requirements for training and match-day purposes.

UEFA A License in Coaching

Football

Sports Related Degree /

Academic Qualifications.

Previous Experience in Academy

Leadership Role.

Full DBS Check.

The FA First Aid for Sport

Certificate.

Certificate.
