We are looking for a highly skilled and diverse individual to lead a team of consultants on client projects. This is an exciting position for someone looking to use a wide range of skills, and be involved in the technical direction of projects as well as leading and managing a team. You will be expected to lead the technical architecture, champion an agile approach to development and promote thorough testing (auto and manual) in your projects.

Your specific technical stack experience is less important; enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to switch between different technologies is the essential fit here; we pride ourselves on our start-up style culture, with great flexibility and countless opportunities to grow. Thus, even if you don’t have experience in all the areas we work in, you will be provided on-the-job training and coaching to make sure that we succeed.

As part of the Expleo Digital and Emerging Technology (DET) team, you will report to the Head of Software Development (Engineering) and support recruitment and development of sector strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of consultants on a diverse range of projects for our clients
- Champion a culture of agile development in your team and drive an iterative approach to delivery
- Promote software quality thorough testing, engagement, and governance
- Communicate effectively and clearly with stakeholders, your team, and the wider business
- Drive success through developing trust with our clients
- Work closely with the engineering manager to progress opportunities with clients
- Encourage knowledge transfer and L&D in your team and the work environment

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Maths, Data Analysis etc)

Essential Skills:

- Experienced developer with expertise in multiple languages including JavaScript and Python
- Experienced in leadership of a team of engineers
- Experienced in working with agility and the associated tools
- Extensive cloud knowledge and experience
- Understanding of microservices and decoupled architecture is a must
- Experience with containerisation and virtual machines
- Good understanding of CI / CD pipelines
- Knowledge of software quality techniques such as TDD, Red-Green-Refactor, SOLID
- Keen learner, with a great attitude to work and team environment

Desired Skills:

- Data warehousing and management
- Experience in data analysis, machine learning or artificial intelligence
- Experience of being in a consultancy-led environment
- Be innovative, and keen to bring own knowledge to the table

**Experience**:

- At least 5 years of senior software experience with 2 years of leading a team, with management of a team of 5+ desirable
