Patient Access Co-ordinator

More detail about the role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Patient Access Team. The role will provide a comprehensive business support function to ensure the efficient and effective operation of specific specialities as part of the Patient Access Team; this will include attending a range of meetings, maintaining information systems and the day to day supervision of work allocated to the Pathway Co-ordinator. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring patient pathways are adhered to whilst maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the patients within their PTL tracking list and will engage with stakeholders throughout the organisation and externally.
The post holder will be responsible for tracking 18 week RTT pathways to ensure patients are all treated fairly & equally. This role is also crucial in reducing patient's RTT weeks wait to meets the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's targets and trajectories and, therefore, help with the Trust's elective recovery. The post holder will also be responsible for working with the Senior Management for specific specialities across all Care Groups and across sites, playing a key role to ensure adequate capacity is available, including outpatient, diagnostics and inpatient. This will include monitoring and validating data from multiple sources, covering different elements of the patients pathway.
