**The Role**:
A **Programme Engagement Officer** is responsible for the sourcing of sustainable Stakeholder Organisations (Partners) for referral opportunities to the contract.
The role will involve a variety of work to include identifying priority outreach areas; working with the local & regional NHS teams to promote the Healthier You programme; building strong relationships with volunteers and local organisations who can act asambassadors, act as spokespeople to promote The Healthier You programme and to ensure the local programme and referral route meet the needs of harder to engage communities and population e.g. BAME and those from the most deprived communities and more.
A Programme Engagement Officer will strictly adhere to the guidelines in accordance with the programme’s requirements and Reed Wellbeing’s policies and procedures.
**This role will be working remotely from home/ flexible working schedule however, travel across locations will be required / daily or weekly.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Business Development**:

- The Engagement Officers role will play a key part in raising awareness of the NHS Healthier You programme with Healthcare Professionals and the communities they serve. The roles will be critical highlighting the importance of the service, advising how torefer into the service people who are at risk of Type 2 diabetes and ensuring local area targets for referrals are met. _
- To play a key role within the Healthier You team at Reed Wellbeing and the NHS, working closely with other members of Reed Wellbeing and NHS teams to support strategic goals and ambitions.
- To identify and understand the needs of different NHS professionals, including their current and emerging challenges and using this understanding to provide strong solutions and support.
- To support the education and upskilling of NHS staff/social prescribers and many more, this includes presentations at senior meetings and CIPD events.
- To act as a key lead and advocate for information (both internally and externally), handling day to day queries and supporting greater uptake across NHS professionals, local stakeholders (including those in the voluntary sector), local authorities, businesses,and cultural leaders
- Strengthen pathways with health and social care organisations as well as relevant teams internally. Coordinate collaborative events that will engage NHS staff, communities and people who are at risk of Type 2 diabetes.
- Attendance at outreach events in the communities to engage residents and explain how the programme can support.
- Attendance at local NHS Operational groups to provide updates on engagement with GP surgeries and local communities.

**Customer Service and Relationship Management**:

- Educates operations teams and about the volumes and types of members identified from key referral source Partners.
- Ensures all stakeholder engagement services are delivered in accordance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) identified within SLAs.

**Service Delivery and Recovery**:

- Engagement Support Officers provide operations teams with sufficient information so that escalated complaints can be prevented, and service excellence can be achieved._
- Ensures information on referrals are communicated promptly to the operations teams.
- Provides Partner briefing sessions to Co-Members as and when required.
- Works effectively to ensure services are delivered as agreed.

**Service and Support**:

- Programme Engagement Officers review partner relationships periodically to ensure support is managed effectively and meeting the contractual obligations and retention levels. Maintains effective records of Stakeholder (partner) Engagement and referralsgenerated to share with the Funder_
**Skills and Requirements**:
**Essential Attainments**:

- Experience of working as part of a multi-function service delivery team. A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
- GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). **_OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage._**

**Essential Criteria**:

- Technical skills including good knowledge, good knowledge of local partners/stakeholders including but not limited to Community and Voluntary Sector Organisations, Local Authorities, GPs, Health Workers and other service providers.
