The Old Hall is a family run business and The Morbey family bought The Old Hall from Oliver Cromwell’s family in 1860.

This role is part of a growing team where nothing is too much trouble for our guests and everyone is flexible in their job helping others out as and when required.

The Old Hall Ely are seeking a Night Porter/Security to join our team and help us maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all common areas are clean and tidy, and that guests have a positive experience during their stay.
- You should be enthusiastic, helpful and friendly. Have IT knowledge, and be a good team player with the ability to work at night._

**Daily tasks to include but are not limited to**:

- Security and perimeter checks of the house and grounds.
- Responding to guest requests in a timely & courteous manner.
- Checking guests in/ out and attending to guests needs in a professional manner.
- Booking in new guests and answering incoming phone calls.
- Assisting with room set ups and service requirements.
- Awareness of the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate current knowledge of venue products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
- Tidy and maintain all public, outside and back of house areas
- Ensuring all rubbish, used glassware & crockery is removed on a regular basis, including making all public areas presentable for guests at all times.
- Answer telephone calls and dealing with requests or taking messages as necessary.
- Help with bar service and event pack downs.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

**This role will be night working starting at 10pm, which the shift finishing at 7am. Working on a shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
