**About the role of Group ESG & Business Improvement Assessor**

The purpose of this role is to create and manage assurance and compliance frameworks that protect ‘value created and creating additional value’ through business improvement across Group businesses. ? It is also responsible for scheduling and conduct timelyinternal and external audits to ensure adherence to standards, regulations and legislation. And in addition to that you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and where applicable, deliver improvement initiatives acrossthe Group.
Travelling is part of the Group ESG & Business Improvement Assessor role as we have depots across the UK. Therefore, you must have a full, valid UK driving license and your own transport.
**Responsibilities of an Group ESG & Business Improvement Assessor**:
- Deliver value added auditing to multiple standards (e.g. ISO, NHSS and FORS) across site and office processes including internal governance policies and processes, and customer requirements.
- Drive value protection by monitoring legislation and regulations regarding H&S and environmental issues, make recommendations and implement associated initiatives.
- Drive value creation by identifying opportunities for improvement including processes and standards etc.
- Provide guidance and advice to the business on how they can improve ESG performance and deliver organisational resilience, particularly in relation to Business Continuity.
- Identify emerging ESG trends, risks and opportunities, both internally and externally e.g. client requirements, and develop action plans as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to deliver value protection and value creation opportunities.
- Liaise with customers and other external stakeholders (certification bodies etc) on ESG and management system matters.
- Challenge, question and improve policies, processes, practices to ensure alignment with the business strategy and new ways of working.
- Monitor progress on initiatives ensuring sharing of learnings.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Group to develop and implement optimal solutions, efficiencies and profitability.
**What good looks like for an Group ESG & Business Improvement Assessor**:
- Full UK driving licence
- Internal Auditor skills for multi-standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO44001, ISO45001, ISO50001
- Ideally IRCA Lead Auditor in ISO9001 or another significant standard
- Business improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma etc;
- Traffic Management experience - Operative/Foreman/LTMO/TSCO is beneficial
- Proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office suite of software, inc. Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook and Office 365 Apps
- NEBOSH General Certificate preferable
- Self-motivated and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential including the ability to relate to people at all levels
- Strong change management and influencing skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate at different levels of an organisation
