**About The Role**

We have an exciting fixed term contract opportunity to work in our Strategic Sourcing function as a buyer. Are you looking for your next buying challenge? If yes, we would love to hear from you.

***Skills/Responsibilities**:
The Strategic Sourcing function sits within Procurement, reporting into the Head of Procurement and ESG. We have a FTC opportunity for a buyer to join the team and support in managing and delivering all aspects of strategic sourcing on a designated range of direct and indirect spend projects. To achieve annual allocated savings target. To support the Strategic Sourcing Manger and Head of Procurement & ESG to identify and drive further value-added benefits in supply and cost reduction in direct and indirect spend across NHSP, and to further our ESG and Social Value agenda through purchasing and contracting decisions.

To be successful in this post you will need to
- Work with Head of Procurement & ESG, and the functional leads to ensure the successful delivery of contracted activities, identifying continuous improvement opportunities through engagement with suppliers and stakeholders, and maximizing value for money from contracts awarded.
- Partnering closely with cross functional teams including, workforce staffing, marketing, employee relations, legal, finance, to deliver on goals and manage the implementation of your defined strategies.
- Support the overall development and delivery of assigned categories (as appropriate) to profile category characteristics, and research supply markets, suppliers, and assess trends, opportunities, and risks feeding insights (as appropriate).
- Deliver value, by effectively managing tender events for key products required by the business.
- Making sure products/services get delivered on time and meet the required standards.
- Interpretation of reports and making of sales predictions for future periods.
- Working to a budget.
- Support our ESG and social value agenda.
