We have an excellent opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our HR team, based in our Nottingham office, to provide administrative and generalist HR support to the Senior HR team. Our hybrid working policy requires that you work at this location for a minimum of two days each week.

**Responsibilities**
- Leading on the ordering of gifts for long service, weddings etc.;
- Leading on administration audits and maintaining employee files on the HR systems;
- Leading on processing right to work checks, reference checks and criminal records on new starters. Sending reminders and escalating missing documents prior to start date to the Senior HR Advisors;
- Processing new starter Occupational Health assessments, and escalating reports to the Senior HR Advisors;
- Keeping the induction booklets up to date, and booking induction schedules into diaries;
- Booking probation review meetings into diaries;
- Supporting with the booking of annual review meetings;
- Managing the travel season ticket loan process;
- Supporting the Senior HR Advisors on ad-hoc HR projects and process improvements;
- Assisting the Senior HR Advisors with policy updates;
- Managing accounts for University job boards and acting as a point of contact for queries and IP careers;
- Maintaining a directory of useful contacts, including recruitment consultants and providers;
- Supporting the Senior HR Advisors with benefits administration;
- Primary point of contact for CSR activities;
- Supporting with issuing letters and other administration, including supporting with references, annual salary review, promotion and bonus processes;
- Drafting contracts and changes letters;
- Managing the administration of employee health checks;
- Carrying out, and reporting on, exit interview data and induction surveys;
- Supporting with gathering data and running reports for ad hoc surveys and tenders;
- Developing and demonstrating a good understanding of our policies and processes;
- Supporting the team by proactively providing us with new ways of working, tools and ideas to help us continuously improve;
- Developing a solid understanding of the HR system, and supporting the Senior Advisor to ensure data is accurate and up to date;
- Updating the absence log and ensuring absence data is reflected in the HR system;
- Supporting with other ad hoc tasks as and when required.

**Requirements**:

- CIPD qualified to level 3 or working towards this is desirable, or equivalent experience;
- Basic knowledge of employment law and a background in HR administration is also desirable;
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Office products;
- Previous experience within the legal or professional services sectors would be desirable;
- Approachable, can-do and positive attitude.
