Bradford, United Kingdom Expect Distribution Ltd Full time

We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our finance team to manage the payroll function for around 350 employees. As a key point of contact for payroll escalations, you will process both weekly and monthly payrolls, provide benefit administration, and ensure statutory reporting requirements are met. We are looking for a person with a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience and ideally will be CIPP qualified or working towards it. This is a standalone role within the Finance Team, so you will need to be a tenacious and driven individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Processing both weekly and monthly payroll ensuring data is correct.
- Processing mileage and expenses claims for salaried staff obtaining authorisation where necessary.
- Liaison with HR to ensure all personal information is integrated with Sage / PPLHR for accurate processing.
- Dealing with internal and external queries, providing advice and guidance and liaising with HMRC and other organisations, such as Pension providers.
- Monitoring of clock in and clock out times of office-based personnel; identification of lateness and or insufficient hours worked to be reported to line managers.
- Posting payroll journals for each payment run with primary responsibility for the reconciliation of the payroll control accounts.
- Accurately collate and provide reports for key stakeholders in the business, within the agreed timeframes - includes absence data, attritions rates, overtime and annual hours reports.
- Administration of Medicash, Buy/Sell Holidays, Cycle to Work, Electric Car Scheme, AXA PPP Healthcare
- Project work including payroll benchmarking, Gender Pay Gap Reporting

- Minimum of 3 years previous payroll experience - **Essential**:

- CIPP qualified (or working towards) a recognised payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP) - **Desirable**:

- Confident with
- Excel (including pivot tables and lookups), Word, Sage and People HR.
- Knowledge of reconciliations and a good understanding of accurate management information - **Advantageous**:

- High attention to detail
- Flexible approach, highly organised and effective time management skills.

**Part-time hours**:25 per week, Monday to Friday, start times negotiable.

After probation option of Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

**Salary**: £23,000 - £25,000 per year (DOE)
