Anglia Case Management provides specialist services to both adults and children living with long-term disabilities. We are rated as an outstanding care provider by the CQC. We support our clients with recruitment, supervision and management of staff who then work solely with them, usually in their own homes, with our on-going support.

Job Summary
- _£15 p/hr, 2 weeks sick leave, double pay for Bank Holidays, 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata, additional hours will be available. All training will be provided, supervisions and general support._
- **Job Type Part Time ,**
- **Hours and Shifts Available: 5 x 4 hour shifts Monday to Friday 2pm - 6pm, although these will be flexible to meet the needs of the client and family.**

Responsibilities and Duties

The client is a 19 year old young lady with Cerebral Palsy, that affects her whole body, including speech. She does have some verbal communication and she can use eye gaze equipment at school to communicate her needs. She lives at home, with her family and two large, friendly dogs. The role will be based in her home and Support Workers will be lone working, with assistance from Mum. There will be times when you will work with another Support Worker.

The role is to offer support to Client, in an evolving team:
Currently she has support for the following hours:
The role is being increased to support Client in her morning routine and to support her to go to school, giving her a lift in her own wheelchair accessible vehicle. Also, to support her choice in community activities and therapy sessions at home.

School holidays will also be 20 hours per week, to be worked flexibly and agreed with Mum. This may include an occasional evening shift to allow parents to go out and possibly weekends. It would also be based on a 2:1 ratio if neither parent is available to support.

This is an evolving team and there may be the opportunity for an increase in working, contractual hours.

Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in working with young adults, or having transferable skills gained in other settings, be they personal, professional or voluntary;
- Have the confidence and ability to work as part of a team and with family members;
- Of driving a large vehicle equivalent to a transit van, as Client’s wheelchair accessible vehicle is a larger vehicle than a car.
- Able to offer Client appropriate support at home, and in the implementation of therapy programmes;
- Willing to follow therapy programmes as recommended by Client’s therapists;
- Have good communication skills which enable you to work with Client, her family and other professionals involved in supporting her, Client has a good sense of humour;
- Be able to complete daily records and any other relevant documentation;
- Understand the importance of confidentiality;
- You must have a full UK driving licence.;
- A basic level of knowledge using IT.
- You must be flexible, reliable, trust worthy and committed to working alongside Client and her family;
- You must be willing to undertake and receive training appropriate to the role, which may involve travel to Anglia Case Management office, located near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (expenses paid);
- You must have received two doses of vaccine for the Coronavirus and be accepting of a possible booster vaccine. You will be required to take weekly PCR tests and may need to take lateral flow tests, if required. All staff are required to ensure they are following the most current Government guidelines regarding Coronavirus and will be supported to do so by the Case Manager.
