Your responsibilities will include:

** Providing training to the broader professional team to enhance their skills in effective communication with individuals on the autism spectrum.

** Delivering tailored individual and group therapy sessions as needed.

** Supervising less experienced Speech and Language Therapists, therapy assistants, and students in training.
** Assessing new students' communication needs and reviewing the needs of existing students within the institution.
Qualifications:

** A recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy is essential.
** Membership in relevant professional bodies is required.
** Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders.
** Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
** Familiarity with intervention techniques such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Intensive Interaction, signing, and visual support systems.
** Solid clinical knowledge of communication challenges associated with autism.
