Due to expansion of our Service technicians team, Golden Arrow Marine has a vacancy for a full time Service Advisor at our busy Poole branch.

The Service Advisor, reporting to the Service Manager, provides the first line of communication with the customer, therefore a very high standard of customer service and knowledge of customer expectations is essential. To be successful in this role you must have a strong customer focus and preferably knowledge of engines & marine equipment or similar experience such as automotive industry, you must also have excellent computer and communication skills. You will carry out a wide range of service department duties, including administration whilst prioritising workload to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

The Service Advisor role includes taking enquiries for service and repair works, providing price and quotation, updates on work progress and emergent work, following jobs through to completion. The Service Advisor assists the Service Manager in allocation of jobs to engineers and work schedule upkeep, in the absence of the Service Manager they are the main point of contact.

They are also responsible for administration support carrying out tasks including phone answering, greeting customers, raising of job cards, invoicing, entering engineers time sheets, statistical data, petty cash control, general administration.

We are looking for a confident and capable individual who can deal with all types of customers under pressure and always remain professional. Working consistently to quality procedures, methodical and calm are qualities required to succeed in this role. Service Advisor experience from marine or automotive environment is required.

Key Skills : Excellent communication and customer care skills, excellent computer skills and quick to learn new systems, good administration, right first-time attitude with an eye for detail.

Golden Arrow Marine is an award-winning specialist marine power, systems and equipment supplier and service provider and are part of the Salterns Marina Ltd group, currently operating from four branches along the South Coast. We are the South Coast Volvo Penta Centre, and also a dealer for Honda Marine, Torqeedo, Yanmar & Yamaha. Our customer base is broad ranging from individual boat owners and operators to major UK boat builders including leisure and commercial marine sectors.
