We have a unique opportunity for a School Therapist to join Northpoint's School Services at Bramley Park Academy & Elements Primary Schools in Leeds.

This role will involve delivering one-to-one short-term therapeutic interventions to primary and school-aged children referred through the schools. You will be working closely with school staff and other stakeholders to provide emotional and mental health support. As a School Therapist, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to improving the wellbeing of children and young people.

What you will be doing as a School Therapist:

As a School Therapist at Bramley Park Academy & Elements Primary Schools, your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering one-to-one short-term therapeutic interventions to primary and school-aged children referred through the schools.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with school staff and management teams.
- Assessing and determining the need for intervention with children and families referred.
- Holding a caseload of children and young people, conducting assessments, and formulating emotional and mental health needs.
- Providing evidence-based individual interventions in various school settings.
- Collaborating with the cluster team to identify appropriate practitioners or CAMHS pathways for onward referrals.
- Offering consultation and advice to school staff and professionals as needed.
- Working across schools in the cluster to provide support where required.
- Ensuring safeguarding concerns are addressed appropriately and contributing to safeguarding processes.
- Maintaining confidential records in line with Northpoint's procedures.
- Collaborating with other professionals to ensure therapeutic services are evidence-based and tailored to the client group.
- Communicating with parents and families according to Northpoint's guidelines.
What we're looking for in our ideal School Therapist:

- A qualified therapist with experience in providing therapeutic interventions to children and young people.
- Knowledge of and adherence to ethical frameworks such as the BACP Ethical Framework.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with school staff, children, and families.
- Ability to assess and formulate emotional and mental health needs.
- Experience delivering evidence-based individual and group interventions.
- Understanding of local services and pathways for referrals.
- Commitment to safeguarding and raising concerns appropriately.
- Strong record-keeping skills and adherence to confidentiality procedures.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with parents, families, and professionals.
