**Job Overview**

We are looking for 3 part time switchboard operators that will be able to work various hours including evenings, weekends and nights to fill various vacancies.

In your new role as Switchboard Operative you will answer calls within agreed number of rings, transferring calls and raising tasks or logging information onto the database as required. You will deal with emergency situations and follow procedures, implementing major incident and emergency protocols when required. You will have responsibility of monitoring alarms and undertake duties out of hours in line with the demands of the business. You will complete all documentation accurately and on time, as well as ensuring colleagues are well informed to ensure smooth handover at shift change.

**What we are looking for**

In order to be successful in this role you will have experience within a similar role, with extensive knowledge of the hospital site and structures. You will have experience of dealing with high volumes of calls and be able to handle emergency calls and situations under pressure. You will be fully competent in the use of PC's and other technology, with strong written and verbal communication. You will possess good planning and organisational skills, working well to meet challenging deadlines.
