The role is responsible for undertaking administrative duties and meeting support under the supervision of the Permanency Business Support Team Manager.

The part time vacancy provides business support for the administration of Permanency Panel Meetings (PPMs) for children not looked after but in proceedings or the Public Law Outline. The teams you will support are the Safeguarding and Adolescent Safeguarding Teams in the main, with some support to the Referral and Assessment Teams across the Kingston and Richmond Boroughs. You will be required to attend all PPM’s held in Richmond and Kingston, but your team base will be Guildhall 2, Kingston. You may be asked on occasion to work from our other offices, for example the Civic Centre in Twickenham. The post hours are 18 hours per week and there is a degree of flexibility on how these hours are worked across the week.

About the role

You will be providing support to the Head of Practice Learning and Principal Social Worker, and there will be some Service specific work using the bespoke databases. You will be based in the Permanency Business Support Team, under the supervision of the Business Support Manager.

Generic BS responsibilities for the role will include;
- Providing administrative support for Permanency Planning Meetings and panels. This includes creating an agenda and taking minutes and supporting with invites where required.
- Attending and minuting meetings as required.
- Updating service specific databases and trackers.
- Attending training and support to understand the language, terminology used within children's social care.
- Maintaining a tracker for Permanency Planning Meetings

The role will require an individual to have strong admin, customer service and digital experience to undertake a range of these functions to ensure that they are providing excellent support to those in the directorate and to our children, young people and their families.
