**Your new company**
You will be working for a national mental health charity which offers a range of services to the people they support, ensuring they make a positive difference to their recovery journey. They are currently looking to recruit recovery workers on a permanent basis,who will work with individuals to help them recover their self-confidence, well-being and independence.
**Your new role**As a recovery worker you will be responsible for helping people with a variety of life difficulties. Your main duties will include:

- Assisting in the development of the service user's support plans
- Deliver advice on matters such as tenancy issues, welfare benefits and financial affairs
- You will help them create connections within the local community in order to improve their social skills and confidence
- You will refer them to other relevant support services where appropriate

**What you'll need to succeed**In order to succeed you will need previous experience in a similar social care position working in substance misuse, learning disabilities or mental health. As you will be interacting with many different people from diverse backgrounds your communication skillsmust be excellent. It is essential you have great empathy and compassion because the clients you will work with are often facing incredibly difficult life situations. You will have your own caseload which you will need to track the progress of therefore yourorganisational skills are key.
