**Salary**: £37,902+ (Depending on skills and experience)
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Provide commercial support and contract administration support to both projects and business stream
- Form and maintain good working relationships with internal and external Customers and stakeholders
- Prepare and support the presentation of internal reviews ensuring the necessary approvals are obtained within the governance of the operational framework
- Support senior Commercial colleagues by taking responsibility for the preparation of quotations and proposals
- Assist in the negotiation of proposals with potential Customers and ensure that acceptable, agreed positions are captured appropriately in any subsequent business agreements and or contract
- Generate suitable agreements in accordance with Commercial policy
- Commitment to meet deadlines and targets
- Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain colleagues to ensure that all key terms and conditions are flowed to sub-contractors
**Your skills and experiences**:
**Essential**:
- Relevant experience in Business Studies, Legal, Supply Chain or Procurement
- Experience of contracts/ bids preferred
- An understanding of the basic financial requirements of commercial contracts
- Experience dealing with stakeholders and as part of a cross functional team
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
**Desirable**:
- Experience of dealing with UK MoD Terms and conditions is desirable

**The Commercial Team**:
The principal purpose of the Commercial function is to negotiate, agree and support contracts that provide a Commercial framework within which BAE Systems can deliver world class capabilities to customers whilst minimising risk and maximising shareholder value. Part of our role is to ensure that proposals to BAE Systems’ customers are priced, developed and approved in an acceptable manner and to submit the associated offers.
The Commercial function is the trusted partner of the business; managing customer relationships, creating innovative solutions, and providing guidance on contractual, regulatory and governance matters.
