We have a fantastic Part Time opportunity for an Ambulance Fleet Assistant to join our team based in Lydney, Gloucestershire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in supporting an essential service to the NHS. In this role, you will be working to keep our fleet of vehicles up to standard for our Patient Transport Service in Lydney.

**Main Duties**:

- You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the vehicles for the Lydney contract.
- Completing small maintenance jobs including bulb changes, topping up fluids etc.
- Escalating any issues that can't be resolved to your Line Manager.
- Liaising with garages for repair work for updates and ensuring timely collections.
- Ensure stock levels are correct & in date with requirements for PPE & consumables - for vehicles & bases.
- Washing of vehicles with power washer.
- Ability to think outside the box and with initiative to ensure fleet is operational, ensuring the maximum amount of vehicles are on the road.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Full Driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Comfortable with the physical aspects of the role including manual handling and ability to kneel to access tyres and other parts of the vehicle.
- Experience working with vehicles (preferred)
- The ability to work on your own initiative but also, comfortable working with others.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
