Fleet Assistant

We are looking for a part-time (19 hours per week) Ambulance Fleet Assistant to join our non-emergency patient transport operation in Lydney, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

There will be a requirement in this role to cover some unsociable hours including weekends in line with the needs of the business.

**About the Role**:
As an Ambulance Fleet Assistant, you must be committed to the highest level of care, pay attention to detail and have strong communications skills.

The main duties of the role consist of:

- Undertake cleaning and other associated tasks to meet the high standard of ambulance cleanliness.
- Responsible for deep cleaning a variety of vehicles and will be responsible the garage floor, wash points and other areas clean.
- Maintain stock levels and replenish appropriate vehicle cleaning supplies when needed
- Responsible to inspect and report any equipment faults or new damage to vehicles to the relevant person/department
- Responsible for closing of premises as required and ensuring that all vehicles are locked and secure before leaving site.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- ** Hold full UK driving licence with less than 3 points**:

- Able to work flexibly due to unexpected circumstances
- Previous experience in maintaining vehicles
- Careful and considerate driver
- Have strong communication skills with a polite and friendly manner
- A Basic DBS check is required. This cost will be covered by the business
- Ability to take initiative
- Work as a part of the team
