This role calls for an all-rounder with initiative and drive. Your skillset will include: Stakeholder relations, Maintaining and updating webpages, Creative Ideas for event planning, Analysis and Strategy understanding. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be flexible, adaptable and able to work to tight deadlines.

The main objective of the role is to maintain an ongoing calendar of events and grow sales of events. The post-holder will have responsibility of the creative direction and timeline of events, in accordance with the wider strategy of the Centre.

**Hours**

This is a 16-hour part-time role with flexible hours to suit the needs of the business.
- Suggested work pattern on a regular week: Monday 4.30pm-9.30pm, Wednesday 12pm-5pm, Thursday 11am-5pm._

The shift pattern will change according to the business needs. Some weeks the shifts will change to evenings or weekends to be present at the events.

**Salary**

£22,000 pro rata

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include:

- Development of an ongoing events calendar in line with the objectives of the Centre
- Creation of an events strategy - timeline, objectives, key stakeholders and so on
- Analysis of event sales and tracking of financial return
- Corresponding with Tutors, Speakers and Course Organisers regarding the information and logistics of upcoming events
- Providing the Marketing Coordinator with information regarding the events - dates, speaker information, workshop information and any supporting graphics
- Overseeing set up and facilitation for each event
- Building relationships with clients to develop understanding and insight into their needs in or to deliver the most effective service
- Processing booking forms, payments and financial tracking
- Financial reconciliations - remits for tutors/speakers and reconciling day to day banking on Xero
- Assisting in room hire event enquiries, showing clients round the building, preparing event quotes and corresponding with clients
- Producing quarterly events newsletter (in partnership with the Marketing Coordinator)
- Assisting in operational duties such as event coordination (greeting visitors, assisting with room set ups, assisting with breaks, and so on)
- Assisting with Reception duties (answering the telephone, welcoming visitors to the building, doing tours of the building, taking payments, taking bookings for our events, and so on)
- Occasional holiday cover for evening receptionist
- Maintaining a good knowledge of the activities of the Centre

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Experience of Event Coordination
- Creative thinker, articulate and persuasive and able to communicate operational initiatives and outcomes to broad range of stakeholder groups
- Experience in Customer Relations
- Good, creative and confident planner with a high attention to detail
- Good relationship building skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Able to work well in a team or on own initiative

**Desirable Skills and Experience**
- Events experience
- Experience of using Word Press, MS Publisher and Mailchimp
