**JOB TITLE**: Volunteer Co-ordinator
**LOCATION**: Horncastle, Boston and Spalding
**SALARY**: £27,803 - £32,076 per annum
**East Lindsey District Council are recruiting for a Volunteers Coordinator.**
We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with volunteers and local communities to ensure we deliver a meaningful and impactful programme for potential volunteers
The Councils recognise the value of volunteering and the contribution volunteers make to our strategic vision, whilst also recognising the opportunity volunteering provides to engage and connect people from the local and wider community.
The Volunteering Coordinator will coordinate and manage all aspects of our new volunteer programme so good organisational and time management skills are key. With overall responsibility for the development of this exciting programme, **typical day to day tasks could be**:
- Recruitment
- Promoting volunteering opportunities via community events, workshops and local networks
- Develop and delivering volunteer induction and training in partnership with relevant departments.
**What we need from you**:
- Knowledge and understanding of the local communities an understanding of the sector, commitment to the organisation you work for and, if relevant, empathy with service users.
- Strong interpersonal skills, to deal with a diverse range of people including networking skills
- Empathy with volunteers and an understanding of their needs
- The capacity to inspire and motivate others
- Current valid Driving licence
This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1_st_ October 2021.
