About the role
Lincolnshire County Council's adult care services are leading the way, we quite literally have the highest CQC score in the country (for a County Council), and we are committed to improving our high standards.
The post of Social Worker in Lincolnshire County Council's Adult Care Services is a busy and varied position, which requires partnership working with other agencies across the Health, Housing, and the Voluntary Sector.
The teams work with adults aged 18+, which gives an opportunity to really see the positive impact our Adult Care Teams make to the lives of others.
We believe that collaborative working builds strength in individuals and communities. In turn this creates better outcomes and futures for people.
We carry out strengths-based Adult Needs Assessments and Reviews in line with the Care Act 2014, focusing on what the person can do rather than their limitations.

About You
The role of a Social Work can be demanding, and it is important that we recruit the right people; therefore, you must be motivated, confident, enthusiastic and resilient.
You will need to be competent in assessing mental capacity, recognising, and acting on safeguarding concerns and working with colleagues across the health and social care sector.
The following skills and qualities are also essential:
- Social Work qualified and registered (or very soon to be).
- Dynamism, flexibility, autonomy and good time management.
- Positivity; a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good IT skills; as assessments are recorded electronically.
- Good listener, with active listening skills.
- Creative-thinking and good problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and associated Social Care Legislation.
