We have a great opportunity for a **Management Companies Off**icer **to join **Sovereign.**

Ideally, you'll be based from the Christchurch office with the flexibility to spend some time working from our other offices and combine home working. There will be an element of travel with this role, so you should have access to your own transport.

The Sovereign Management Companies Team are responsible for managing our portfolio of external management companies and managing agents, servicing properties, providing business assurance that third party companies are delivering their services appropriately, and in line with Statutory and Regulatory duties.

**What you'll be doing**

In this varied role, you'll manage our portfolio of external management companies and managing agents. As the main point of contact, you'll co-ordinate all aspects of work relating to these third-party providers, ensuring our customers benefit from quality services, providing value for money, whilst ensuring that Section 20 Consultations are carried out correctly. You will also continue to develop and strengthen Sovereign's relationships with our External Management Companies and any other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintaining the matrix of all management companies, managing agents and other third parties, to include contracts for cleaning, grounds maintenance, window cleaning, detailing the service provisions, costs and payment frequency
- Support the EMC Manager prepare and manage cases for Court and attend and present evidence as required at First Tier Tribunal hearings.
- Attending AGMs and resident meetings, as well as occasional visits to third-party offices and site visits
- Investigating and working to resolve disputes effectively with third-parties
- Supporting the Management Companies Manager regarding consultation in compliance with Section 20 or the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985
- Liaising with third-party providers and feeding back any concerns, including service standards and compliance, making recommendations on what our expectations are
- Maintaining and updating management company information to enable efficient management of management companies and agents

**What we need from you**

You should have experience in a similar role, ideally with previous experience working with external management companies and agents. You'll need to have strong leasehold or housing knowledge, ideally with an understanding of Section 20 consultations and basic knowledge of building safety legislation. You'll also need:

- Contract management experience
- The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring longevity in partnerships
- Strong communication skills to enable clear engagement with both internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks, maintaining an agile approach to your work
- Experience of resolving complex queries quickly and efficiently
- Good knowledge of Excel, Docuware and other IT systems
- Ability to influence third-party relationships
