**Pupil Support Worker, Blackpool**

Tradewind have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Pupil Support Worker to join our agency working in partnership with an outstanding Alternative Provision in Blackpool.

Tradewind work closely with an Alternative Provision in Blackpool, which is rated "Good" by Ofsted. Our partner school caters to students aged 5 to 16, supporting their SEMH, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and behavioural needs.

**Role Overview**:
As a Pupil Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one support to a pupil with SEMH needs. Your aim will be to enhance their educational experience, promote personal development, and foster a nurturing environment where they can thrive. You will work closely with the pupil, their teachers, and other professionals to implement personalised strategies and interventions, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build a strong rapport with the pupil, establishing a trusting and supportive relationship.
- Provide targeted support to the pupil, both academically and emotionally, through tailored interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Promote positive behaviour management techniques and assist in developing coping strategies.
- Monitor and record progress, ensuring accurate documentation of the pupil's achievements and challenges.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH needs is essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Understanding of SEMH, ASC, and behavioural needs.
