London, United Kingdom Ipsos Full time

**_Are you looking to develop a career in within one of the world’s largest Research Organisations?_**

Ipsos Public Affairs are the leaders in social research. We bridge the gap between government and the public, providing robust research and analysis. We cover broad issues that shape the delivery of public services in modern society and how to engage the public in the policy-making process.

This vacancy is within the Health and Social Care team. Our hugely impactful research and evaluation portfolio means we are influencing policy, from the evaluation of programmes such as cancer diagnostic interventions and interventions to support vulnerable groups, to deliberation with the public around complex trade-offs, major patient experience surveys, the measurement of public perceptions, and a host of mixed methods studies around topics such as health inequalities, technology in the adult social care sector, use of health services and so on.

**The role**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher to lead high profile studies which influence and inform decisions within the NHS and social care - on many of the key issues of the day - as well as helping us to grow our business.

The main responsibilities will include:

- Leading proposals and revenue generation, including making pricing recommendations.
- Leading smaller projects or managing large and complex projects, across different methodologies and policy areas.
- Communicating effectively with clients, internal and external suppliers, policymakers, stakeholders and internal colleagues both in writing and verbally.
- Supporting junior team members to develop their own communication style whilst ensuring professionalism and outcomes which are in Ipsos’ long-term interests.
- Signing off deliverables (evaluation frameworks, questionnaires / discussion guides, stimulus materials, presentations and reports) which meet clients’ and stakeholders’ objectives, including creative approaches where relevant.
- Effectively managing relationships with suppliers and internal operations colleagues to ensure the objectives of the research are met on time and to budget.
- Developing a strong understanding of our clients’ needs and seeking opportunities to grow our business by taking a proactive approach to developing knowledge of the client’s needs.
- Contributing to the successful running of our team through adding to our positive, supportive, enthusiastic environment where people are encouraged to challenge themselves to develop their skills.

**What do I need to bring with me?**

We are looking for someone with:

- Extensive experince of delivering large complex research and evaluation projects
- Experience writing winning proposals including drafting costs.
- Desire to work closely with clients to maintain and grow our contracts.
- Excellent evaluation and/or research skills: able to lead multiple projects and support junior members of the team to develop their research and project management skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines to deliver profitable work and assure quality of all outputs.
- Ability to lead development of high quality evaluation frameworks and research materials which answer client objectives.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex qualitative and quantitative data to draw out a clear narrative and insight to inform client decision-making.
- Excellent client handling and supplier negotiation skills.
- Confident and clear written and verbal communication skills, including experience of preparing presentations (and ideally written reports) with a high level of accurate use of English.

**About us**

Our culture is unique - we have the entrepreneurial spirit and quirkiness of a small boutique, but we also have the resources, scale and diversity of a large global agency. We have more bright, friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic people, from more backgrounds, with more interests, skills and experiences to learn from. Our values are based on our diverse cultural backgrounds, helping us to be responsive, client-focused and flexible.

**If this is what you are looking for from your next role, we look forward to hearing from you
