A small rural General Practice situated in Hibaldstow.

**Job summary**:
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

Provide administrative support to the Practice Team by managing Appointment Rotas, liaising with secondary care, providing secretarial support to Clinicians and the Practice Manager.

**Job responsibilities**:
Administration

To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures.
- To work in accordance of written protocols
- Liaise with secondary care and other outside agencies
- Booking hospital appointments when requested
- Chasing appointments and outstanding hospital correspondence
- Filing medical records

Reception
- Receiving patients consulting with members of practice team
- Accepting patients samples
- Receiving other visitors to the Practice
- Be able to cover all reception positions as necessary
- Process post in and out of the Practice
- Processing medical documents and communications

Appointments

Manage Appointment Rotas
- Process patient appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients by telephone, electronic systems and in person.
- Deal with visit requests

Computer
- **Have a good working knowledge of SystmOne clinical system.**
- Registrations of new patients.
- Process patients change of address.
- Process post in to appropriate patient records.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18.5 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical Receptionist: 1 year (required)
