Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into you Responsible for overseeing a team of Field Surveyors for a large fixed line telecoms project Responsible for supporting the administrative and operational leadership of the project within the project guidelines as defined by the Design Manager Responsible for the team in meeting deadlines and adhering to project schedules Responsible for ensuring team deliverables are met Ensuring appropriate training is given to new and current Field Surveying staff in a structured program to maximize their efficiency as early as possible Ensure adherence to appropriate quality control procedures Communication and liaise with our client in a professional manner, meeting their needs along with Actavo’s needs Review and audit the work of Field Surveying staff to ensure errors and inefficiencies in data collection are identified and corrected/eliminated through guidance or further training. Working with the QC team to drive learnings and isolate issues Overseeing the appropriate trackers for assigned team tasks Responsible for the approval of time sheets for allocated Field Surveying staff and the allocation and approval of targets & KPIs appropriate to each project task Co-ordinate and allocate team tasks and work areas to maximise efficiency and timelines Resolve or escalate any site issues, data discrepancies, site access challenges from the field crews in a timely manner Taking an active role in ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times, leading toolbox talks, escalating issues and risks, performing site SHEQ audits and leading by example in all matters on the project PART 4: Person Specification Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience working in telecoms Experience in Dublin area HFC build highly preferred Management or supervisory experience Skills & Competencies (evidence of)
Technical Experience with ArcGIS or similar survey & design platform preferred Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and MS Teams Interpersonal Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills required Business Skills Natural decision-maker: able to exercise judgement and take responsibility for the consequences of actions and decisions. Delegation and time management Communication and negotiation Personal Exceptional people skills: Working-with and motivating a diverse technical and operations group in addition to building confidence & strong working relationships with clients Shift flexibility needed, on occasion
