Are you an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional looking for a leadership role? We are seeking a talented Cash & Banking Lead to join our dynamic team and work on a hybrid basis from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire).

**About the role**

As the Cash & Banking Lead, you will be a key member of our Finance department and will provide comprehensive support to our practices as well the Treasury, Business Partnering and Operations teams.

Reporting to the Cash & Banking Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of four Transactional Assistants and assisting with various critical tasks.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Taking ownership of daily bank postings for all trading and transactional accounts
- Ensuring prompt review and follow-up on unallocated receipts/payments on a daily basis
- Managing and reporting team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a daily basis
- Overseeing and own the practice takings process.
- Managing and owning the direct credit allocation and reporting process
- Preparing and developing balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
- Liaising with internal auditors and external accountants to address practice queries
- Collaborating with the wider Finance team to develop and implement "best practice" processes
- Implementing internal audit recommendations and supporting the internal audit process
- Investigating and responding to queries from the Business Partnering team and other internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
- Conducting high-level reviews of general ledger balances
- Contributing to Finance and Business-led projects

**About you**
- Proven experience in an accounts environment, with a focus on reconciliations and journal processing
- Highly organised, proactive and meticulous with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to manage and coach team members, fostering a strong service ethos
- Effective prioritisation skills to meet deadlines and exceed service level expectations
- A results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on task completion
- The ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining high levels of organisation
- Skilled in communicating financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-financial partners and colleagues
- Passionate about accuracy and driven to continuously improve processes
