Maintenance Officer

Etive House Care Home is looking to recruit a Maintenance Officer on a permanent basis.
Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62 residents. This home offers exemplary standards of residential, dementia and respite care.
As Maintenance Officer, you will ensure the building and equipment is maintained to a high standard, always keeping our residents and staff safe and comfortable. To ensure everyone is comfortable and protected, you will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.
**Maintenance Officer Contract**
11.50 per hour
Contracted hours 38.5 hours per week
5.6 weeks annual leave

**Your Main Duties Will Include**
Perform minor repairs
Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
Install appliances and equipment
Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
Inspect and repair all damages to building surfaces
Participate in different projects (e.g. renovations)
Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on the homes requirements, and you will be on-call for emergencies.
