On behalf of our well know and reputable Lancaster based client we are seeking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join their busy finance team.
As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial health of our clients business. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the credit control process of their business ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices to minimise any potential credit risks. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of financial processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices
- Resolve any invoicing discrepancies or disputes
- Maintain accurate records of all communication and actions taken
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers account departments
- Ensure clients remain within their set credit limits/issue statements of account
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer queries or issues
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to credit control

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and principles
- Experience working as part of a busy finance team
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Exceptional phone etiquette and strong communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and correctly
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

This position is offered with a high degree of working flexibility either on a part or full time basis. The basic working days would be 9am to 5pm. However, our client may also be open to working hours to suit a persons availability. Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 37.5 per week
