**Job Title**: Credit Controller
**Location**: Lancaster
Up to £25k
A reputable company in Lancaster is seeking a skilled and motivated Credit Controller to join their finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong financial acumen and exceptional communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the end-to-end credit control process, including the pursuit of outstanding debts, reconciliation of accounts, and ensuring adherence to credit policies.
- Assess and mitigate credit risks by establishing appropriate credit limits and terms.
- Liaise with clients to resolve payment discrepancies, negotiate payment plans, and maintain positive relationships.
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimize invoicing procedures and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on debtor status and contribute insights for financial planning.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
- Sound knowledge of credit control procedures and debt collection strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
