**Homeless Recovery Worker (Days or Nights)**

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Recovery Workers to join our team at a 56 bedded homeless hostel in Birkenhead. If you want to be a part of a dynamic agency that values its employees and the community, this opportunity is perfect for you.
**Position**: Homeless Hostel Recovery Worker
**Location**: Birkenhead
**Pay**: Up to £12.89 p/h
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals residing in the homeless hostel.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for residents to aid in their recovery journey.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to implement effective strategies and interventions.
- Conduct regular check-ins with residents, offering emotional and practical support.
- Assist residents in accessing essential services, including healthcare, counselling, and social programs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions and progress.
- Be a familiar face for the residents, promoting security and well-being practices.

**Hours and pay**:
£11.50 p/h plus holiday pay, you can choose to have your holiday pay as part of your hourly rate bringing it to £12.89 p/h.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a background in social work, mental health, or homelessness support is essential.
- At least six months of paid UK care experience within the past or one year in the past five years.
- Empathetic and nonjudgmental approach towards individuals facing challenging circumstances.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment.
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards.
